This Shen SB 80 is unused. It was purchased by a gentleman who was diagnosed with a terminal disease right after he purchased the bass. He paid $2100 for the bass set up as it is. As the label shows, the bass was built in March of 2021....not quite a year ago.
It is the typical Shen-a nicely made and finished laminated bass. The set up work and new bridge was done by Bass Violin Shop in Greensboro NC. They do nice work. The fingerboard is smooth and plays very well and the adjustable bridge is fitted beautifully to the bass. The bass has a fresh set of Corelli strings and sounds great. It is an easy bass to play. The bass comes in the gig bag supplied by Shen.
I am in San Antonio and will drive halfway to meet a buyer that lives within a reasonable distance.
