Details

Selling my 2013 Spector NS-5H2W 5 string bass. The W in the model # stands for Wide spacing. So this beast has 19mm string spacing instead of the usual 16.5-17mm that Spectors have. This is much more comfortable for me personally. This bass is in extremely good condition. The only blemish of note is a small indent in the clear coat on the bottom horn. You can see this in the photos. It is very insignificant. This bass also has a slimmer neck profile (back to front) than most Spectors so it is very easy to play. The original spector pre and emg pickups were swapped out by the previous owner (Smeet) for Nordstrand Big Splits and a Nordstrand 3b4a preamp with passive tone control. All this work was done by Mo at the Nordstrand shop in California. The result is a very versatile Spector that still retains all the Spector growl and punch but gives you a few more tonal options. The tuners were also upgraded to Hipshot Ultralites and the control knobs swapped for Sadowsky knobs. Very classy looking.

Body is mahogany with an insane quilted maple top.
Weighs in right around 9.35lbs. Very nice weight for a Spector.
35" scale
Pao Ferro fretboard/maple neck

SOLD - Spector US NS-5H2W

I am selling because I have been on a GAS induced bass buying frenzy and have bought 3 new instruments in the last couple weeks. (A smith, a Roscoe and a Nordy).
When I do things like this I have to sell some other things in order to maintain my marital status. Stay tuned for a couple more listings including my active Dingwall ABZ5

Selling for $2200 shipped in North America with a gig bag. This is what I need to get in order to recoup what I paid for this bass after currency conversion, transaction fee's etc.
I will ship elsewhere in the world at the buyers expense.

I once owned this bass and it is a real looker, that's for sure. The quilt top is killer. Plays great too! I'm sure somebody will be very happy with this one. GLWTS.

I loved this bass when it was mine for awhile. I just couldn’t get use to the Wide spacing. That being said, this bass was perfect in every other way. From piano like tone and resonance, to one of the most beautiful Tops of any bass I’ve ever owned. GLWTS. That’s a killer bass.
