what's your thoughts on the LX8500? can I run a HD2x10 alone and then run it with a 2x10 and a 4x10 hartke cabs? I hear the fan is noisy, is that true? I am deciding on either the LH1000 or LX8500. can you help me?

Its a nice amp. Very transparent IMHO.

Well built, the compressor is really nice and smooth, tone controls are pretty simple, you have to experiment a little, but its easy to dial in a good tone. Kind of plain looking, the knobs are backlit which is kind of cool, The drive control lets you dial in as much overdrive as you want without losing the low end. Some people complain about lack of volume, I've discovered that you have to run the "gain" a little higher than usual with this amp. I run mine about 2:00 o'clock, and the tone and volume really open up.

The 8500 runs at a 4 ohm minimum. Which means you have to check the impedance of you cabs.

Remember, 1 8ohm cabinet + 1 8ohm cabinet =4 ohms.

Most 410 cabs are already rated at 4 ohms but not all of them. If your Hartke 410 and 210 cabs are 8 ohms each , you would be fine.

Do not run a 4 ohm cab with a 8 ohm cab.
