Hi Everyone,

I'm selling a 2002 Modulus Quantum 5 with Bartolini pickups. It's in pretty flawless shape. I am the original owner and took great care of it. Price is $1,600. I am looking to sell locally in the Denver, Co area as I don't have a case for it. If you'd like more pic's or have any questions let me know.

All,

Sorry I don't know more about the specs. In 2002 I would have been able to answer this much better. Its just been quite a few years and I haven't thought much about it, so I've forgotten the details on the bass. The manual I have is just a generic one for Q5's, nothing specific to my model. I suppose if it came down to it I could call modulus and give them the serial # and see if they can pull up specs. Not sure if manufacturers have that detail though in their records.

Anyway, I am pretty sure this is Walnut with a Chechen Fretboard. It has Bart's, not sure of the pre-amp. Its got the 2-toned look, dark front, light back.
I was a big Phish Fan back then and Im pretty sure I bought this cuz it looked similar to what Mike Gordon played :) I moved to 4 strings, and just bought another lakland so I have more basses than I need

To me it plays like a dream, awesome action, smooth neck, killer B string. Ive looked it over and I really dont see much damage. Maybe 1 or 2 very small dings on the body or head stock, but it looks pretty Mint to me.

I weighed it at home, believe 9.5 lbs is pretty accurate. Nut Width looks around 1 5/8ths

As I mentioned my preference is to sell to someone in the Denver, Co area as I dont have a HSC. Not sure what transpired at the time, I guess the place I bought it from(drumcityguitarland) just didnt have 1 in stock. I probably just said knock off a few bucks and I 'll take it, instead of waiting for them to get me a case.

So, I will probably try to see if someone around here will buy it. If not , then I definitely would ship it as a 2nd option. The price I am listing it at ($1,600)does not include shipping. I spoke to a shipper and they said they could pack it carefully. So shipping would be in addition to the listing price. I bet it would be around $75 for packaging and shipping. Any other Q's I'll try to answer best I can

I would have to say this is my IDEAL Modulus as I'm a HUGE Gordo fan!! I had a moment of financial panic last year and sold my Q5...one of my bigger regrets!!

I don't have any cash in the bass fund at the moment, but would happily trade you a kidney (left or right) for this bass! GLWTS! :D

Just open the electronics compartment and see if it's an Aguilar (which could add interest to the sale since it's a more expensive spec)
