Pickup for only $289 a new Fender Rumble 112 cabinet. Used it the other at a gig and I must say I was pleasantly surprised on how great this cabinet sounded.

Rated at 500W @ 8 ohms, this cabinet sports an Eminence neodymium 12" speaker and a small horn. And only weighs 23 lbs!

I used it with my Genz-Benz Shuttle 9.0, which at 8 ohms is 500W and my Fender P-Bass Special. It just sounded awesome. Plenty of punchy low end and volume.

Only two gripes, the cabinet only used 1/4" jacks. So I had to pick up a 1/4" to Speakon speaker cable to use it with the Genz-Benz. Also the material on the cabinet is rather smooth! So the amp kept on vibrating off the cabinet! Next gig I'll have to use the rubber street hockey pucks I normally put under each of the amp's feet. That will keep it in place!

So if you are looking for a small portable cabinet, I recommend this one....

Hey guys do you think a 350 rumble has a great sound? I love the tone of the 150 but I need more power.

Yes I do! Tone controls are a bit different with fully parametric/sweepable mids. Rumble 350s are an incredable bargin right now! If you want one you really need to go ahead and ROMP on it right away.
I happen to like the low-mid & high-mid controls that the Rumble 75 & 150 share. The new Rumbles from the 40 up all share this configuration. So take your pick!
:)

Rumbles Rock! :bassist:

Thanks dude! My b day is on the 24th so I'm totally getting the 350 and I've noticed the prices went down on the rumbles. Perfect!

I am not familiar with the Rumble heads, but I do know my Genz-Benz Shuttle sounded awesome with this cabinet. Plus the Benz is 500W @ 8 ohms.

The nice thing about the Benz is I can use it on small or large rigs. Small would be with the new Rumble cabinet I got. Medium size rig would be the Benz with my Markbass NY 212 (2x12) cabinet which is 4 ohm, which jumps the power to 900W. For even more sound I'll use the Benz with my 4 ohm SWR Marcus Miller 4x10 GoLight cabinet.

I got my rumble 350 a couple days ago.i realized if you boost the treble to around 9 and bass around 7 or 8 And scoop the mids a bit you get a bright and deep sounding tone. I fiddled with it for a little and it's amazing

Resurrecting this thread. I bought an older, black metal grill version NOS Rumble 112 from Sam Ash for $150 on closeout. During informal practice the guys right away commented on how it lacked bottom end. I was using a P-Bass at that time so I wrote it off as probably the bass. During full blown practice with my regular Jazz 5 last night it was obvious again that the booty was missing. While it sounded great in the mids, and is really light, I really need it to have more bottom without excessive EQ. This one is going back sadly.

That is awesome. Thanks for the story. But I am confused. I was so blown away by your numbers, that I went up onto Fender's website, and looked up the Rumble 112 cab. They claim 250W @ 8 ohms (500W is program, not running watts), with a ceramic magnet speaker (not neo), and a weight of 31 lbs (instead of 23). Do you have a different cab?

None of this makes any difference, of course. All that matters is that it works for you. I am just a lil' confused...

Yes, two different speaker cabinets. The one he's referring to was discontinued a couple of years ago, has neo speakers, and weighs 24 pounds.

The new 112 cabinets that are for sale now are the version 3 Rumbles, with ceramic speakers, and weigh around 30 pounds. They have the vintage look and sound somewhat different. By all accounts the new v3 112 cabinets are very nice, with a strong bass response.

Wow, it seems the Rumble V2 112 cab is actually "superior" to the V3...

Thanks for the clarification!

i also got 2 of the v2 1x12's ... i was using them as a stack with my v3 rumble 200w head but i recently acquired a bh250 head and was using just 1 of them with it ... i have notice it sounded a bit different thru that head but also found some sounds i didn't like from the cab ... i checked all screws and metal grill but it might be that they don't pair well with that head as i tried both of them separate with the bh250 and some notes sounded like .... un pleasing just to call it that ... i don't think is the cabs or that the head is bad but i wish i could get more feedback from other owners on how they eq their cab either as a single cab or paired with another , thanks

i will run some test hopefully this afternoon or tomorrow ... i have done a couple of worship services with both cabs no problem either head ... is just when i try to get away with 1 cab only , makes some unpleasant sounds ... it could be the way im eq ing or other factors ... the cabs perform great paired up and i haven't got that much trouble with the 200w head and a single cab ... so ill keep u all posted ... i might end up buying a different cab for the tc , i just not looking foward to invest more money if I don't have too ... i like small / micro rigs and most of the churches i play i have pa support and in ears so ... hopefully ill find some middle ground... thanks
