Carrots or Lemons?

There is some rumbling going on in a thread over in the Bassists forum...something about Lemons taking over Carrots as the go-to random food item.

I pose this poll to find out where loyalties lie.

Can the fresh, exiting new Lemon really be worthy of taking the role of the time-tested, classic Carrot?

I like tomatoes. They are supple, juicy, firm and tasty. I believe that it should be the superior vegetable of choice. I therefore, will all due respect, will not vote in the poll as it is discriminating towards the mighty tomato.

We all know that the two party system isn't perfect. But I am afraid that if given too many choices we could split the vote too much and end up in an anarchistic state.

This has been done before. There was a short lived lobby for mangoes. People enjoyed a metaphor that can be closely associated with breasts, but it didn't have the staying power of carrots. So between mangoes and lemons my vote goes to carrots.

I'm not going to vote because I like carrots and lemons equally but for different reasons.

But waffles. Now waffles are a different story. Waffles are eternal awesomeness in a 6" circle. Crispy fluffy yummy alone, but with all those spectacular little cups to hold butter and syrup, or lemon curd, or carrot shreds with cream cheese and walnuts, and yet still substantial enough to hold up to chicken.

Aaahhhh, absolute bliss. Yup, waffles would have gotten my vote.
