Cheap Effects Pedals

i have had my bass for about 3 years now and enjoy it a lot. i am looking to give myself a new style and sound and was curious if anyone had any ideas for some cheap effects pedals or even an expensive one that give me more options. please and thank you. :bassist:

Zoom B3. a good place to start if you want to experiment with a lot of things.

+1. I just got a B3 and though it isn't quite the quality of my Source Audio and Eventide stuff, I really like the interface and there are a lot of very useful effects that sound in several cases nearly as good as their stand alone counterparts.
For $199 it is a steal, and not only a good way to get started with effects, but also more than good enough for recording and more professional set-ups. My only complaints are that the unit is tad noisy and for live use, not easy to quickly change patches.

@Breakdown13 - Are you just looking to spend money (likely not, given your chosen title), or do you have an idea of where you want to go?

If you don't have a clear idea of what you want to achieve, then you should invest some time in figuring that out. Even if you ultimately change your mind, having a destination in mind means you spent some time in self-reflection, rather than just choosing a sound because it's "cheap."

Once you have an idea, finding gear to get you there will be easier.

Just a thought!

Keep an eye out in the classifieds for a used, older MFX (multiFX) pedal.

Ex:
Yamaha MagicStomp
Korg
Zoom
Line6 Bass pod or M5

For the price of one new singular-dimensional pedal, you can buy something with loads of sounds and experiment with multiple types of FX such as delay, modulation, distortion etc.

Once you know what FX you like, then buy/experiment with the one-trick-pony pedals of that nature, ex you like flanging so you start checking out Flanger pedals.
