I haven't tried other string on my NS-62ce yet but I've been very happy with the EJ45C (normal tension) strings I've had on it since 4/5/14.

the Takamine, Yamaha, and other made-in-Japan classical guitars from the 70’s and 80’s are phenomenal values by todays standards. Just replace the tuners with quality modern Gotohs or similar, new strings, and a full setup by a classical guitar tech and you have something comparable to a new $1500 classical….just my opinion of course!I started on classical guitar, still have it, still play it.
This is an old Asian made student model, with great woodgrain, and a nice bassy tone.
I play electric guitar and bass more overall, but I still play the classical.

Chieli Minucci with his Gibson Chet Atkins.
Must be the latter as I'm pretty sure Chieli never played with Miles.I always get Chieli Minucci and Mino Cinelu mixed up; which one played with Miles Davis?
