Mesa Subway 115 Crackling/Buzzing

And if I remember, the problematic green connectors are NOT Rean products.
That’s not true. My green ones are genuine Neutrik/Rean. As @agedhorse said only about 5% of the connectors appear to have problems. Here are photos of the two problem connectors.

I’ve spread enough misinformation about these damaging Mesa cabs, which isn’t true, so maybe this will help make up for it. šŸ™šŸ¤ž

And those are problematic? Definitely enough confusion to go around!
Yes sir they are. Now I’m guessing that Neutrik may have solved the problem but they didn’t admit there was one even though these received numerous emails about all the failures.

I feel the biggest problem maybe with the cable companies who quickly bought them to fill their stock.that might explain why we’re still seeing failures. I’m sure there are a lot of cables out there that have the problem.

My suggestion to everyone is if you experience the problem return the cable(s) immediately for replacement and continue doing it until you get goid ones. Hopefully the vendors will realize there’s a definite problem and all of this will end up in Neutrik’s lap. šŸ™šŸ¤ž

This same cable woks fine with My Genzler Kinetix-Nu Classic 210.

If it is the cable causing the issue with the Subway 115 I tried that is.
I don't know, and currently have no access to another SpeakOn cable to try.

I haven’t seen any problems with the Rean plugs, which are based on the NL4FC plugs.

It sounds like there may be a piece of debris touching the back of the cone. It could be stage debris, a bit of packing material, and somebody found a staple stuck to the magnet at the cone neck to spider area (back side of the driver). It could also be a tiny bit of debris behind the dust cap.

If you are careful, you can investigate this yourself, otherwise it would be covered under warranty and one of our service centers wi be able to help you.
