Are the pickups on the Squier Affinity Jazz V of standard size? Can you replace them with, say, EMG 5-string jazz pickups?

Thank you! Very helpful. I wonder if it's still possible to find one of those basses in Arctic White. although I like the Metallic Red, too. I have had a lot of good luck with Squiers, so this might be the bass I need. I figure adding either Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pups or EMGs should give it the sound I'm looking for (that and swapping out the pots and the jack). They are standard Jazz V sizes. Anything that will fit an MIA/MIM Jazz V will fit the Affinity.
Bridge pickup is 4.19" wide, neck is 3.95" wide if I remember correctly...
Agreed. Of course I could get the active one with the ebanol fingerboard and matching headstock. I heard good things about that one, too. Squiers are generally very solid instruments. I have a MIM Fender Jazz in Lack Placid Blue/maple as my main player but I need a backup and if that backup is a fiver it enhances my versatility a bit.I had 2 of these, really great basses for the money.
