Spector Legend issue

I just recently purchased a used Spector Legend from a fellow TB'er. The thing feels and sounds great, except the output is too low, or at least I think it is for an active bass. Also, whenever I touch the volume knob it becomes an antenna (I actually pick up radio through my amp). This does not happen with any of my other basses, any help would greatly be appreciated.

i'm no expert

look at the soldering on the pots, there could be some bad solder connections or a leak in the wiring (break in the jacket) also check the ground (black) wire to the jack... that would affect the output I would think... The antenna thing is pretty common.. I use to pick up radio disney with my carvin amp... when I touched a knob it got louder, I assume this is a grounding issue.
