Ibanez SR506 single cut concept

I like SR506; I don't like the horn, so I did a quick & dirty mock up of what a single cut might look like, inspired by clement's 289 & 280 models. Hellfire any Clement.
My ideal bass would be a lightweight singlecut 6. Problem is, no dinero. But I have a saw. I have a disc sander & hand files, & sand paper aint so much dough & I can find a 506 < $500. Hmph.
 
They balance nicely as designed, so as Tom said, it's likely to dive. It might also feel ergonomically different with the strap button relocated so far towards the bridge. If you're going to do it, you should also know that's called a "mahogany" finish, but its' basically a dark stain sprayed onto an open pored mahogany body, which is much, much lighter under the stain. You'll probably need to refinish the whole body once you're horn is modified...
