20 Bass Shootout!

Hi!

In this clip I compare 20 basses playing the same riff. I'd very much appreciate your feedback and critique! Which bass did you like best/least?

In the next couple of days I will add another 6 clips/riffs to the playlist, to explore other styles of playing as well.

Interesting for my money- The American P-Bass sounds best, followed closely by the Rick and the Squier P-bass. The JAzz sounds very weak on this clip as mentioned.
As many know, once you get past the name snobbery Squiers aren't bad at all.

Thanks, yeah the squire sounded every bit as good as the Standard P. The biggest difference between the two is probably that the Fender is more even in volume over the strings and frets, but not much! Great value.

Cheers
Johan

Thanks Dan!

Yeah, I'll put the visual cues at a specific location in the window so the viewer can choose to cover it up for a blind test.

Cheers

Love the video. Honestly there wasn't a tone in there that I don't think I could EQ or compress to fit into any situation.

Thanks for putting this together. Next time I might suggest eliminating the visual cues, scrambling the order, and making it a blind test.
