NBD FENDER MODERN PLAYER JAZZ

Just got my new baby home. Traded in my old sterling by MM Ray-34 for it. Let my just say, this bass is incredible. It has one of the most comfortably playing necks I have ever played. And the humbucking pickups are nice and punchy. First thing j did was throw on a set of Blue Steels, Strap locks and bridge and pickups. Just an excellent bass!

err you've installed the wrong set of pickup covers..

or is it intentional?

I couldn't really see the picture, but now I can make out what he did. Regardless of the inaccuracy I much prefer it as sold, without covers.

When I first got my Sunburst Jazz in '67, the ashtrays made it for about 10 days before they hit the drawer. I never put them on again.

Congrats on the new bass. I always found the p-bass covers were more comfy also.just have a great time playing the hell out of it. One question, does it have the classic sound available or is it just a different sound because of the humbuckers? I havn't had a chance to drive the 60 miles to the nearest Fender dealer to check anything out lately.

It has the basic characteristics of the jazz tone, but yet, sounds like a humbucker. It's really difficult to describe, the pickups are really loud too. If I plug in my Pbass after playing this, I have to turn the volume up about 2 notches to get the save volume.
