I saw a guy playing this Ibanez thru neck at the weekend and it sounded great. It looks similar to the Doug Wimbish but was too far away to see the headstock signature or pup markings. Does anyone know if there's another model with the same look?
Once the player had packed up and was leaving I asked him which bass he was using, and he replied that it was an Ibanez. I told him how good he sounded and asked which pickups it had, but he didn't know? That confused me because I thought he would know if they were the EMG or Bartolini set? He then said he wasn't a gear head so maybe he genuinely hadn't noticed?
Any other ideas TB? Cheers!
