Ok, I'm lying. I've had her for a few weeks while doing some mods but this is her coming out party. The Dimarzio/Chromes combo gives a great thump. Here's the breakdown:

32" 94 MIJ Squier P/J

Mods:
Cloverleaf Hipshot Ultralite Tuners
Chrome hardware
D'addario Chromes
Copper shielding
250 CTS pots
.047 Orange Drop cap
Changed VBT to VVT
Dimarzio DP126 P/J set (chrome pole pieces)
Economy high mass bridge from GPR
Abalone knobs
Fret level and setup

Its got a P nut width with a nice narrow profile (front to back)

Yeh, just was lucky to come across it. Apparently its the same as a P-Lyte with the shorter scale and passive electronics.

Its actually a common misconception that few good bass designs come out of Japan. Though they did not invent the art, bass development and innovation has had strong roots in this eastern island. The initial Japanese bass designers took a certain pride in their work. New, great sounding basses became more of a responsibility than an goal and the tradition continues today. I'm glad to see that Japan is getting the love it deserves!

It was actually chrome to begin with, I just updated materials. Here some images from before.
