NBD! F-word Custom Shop

Looks great! I had a few Telecaster basses: 68 and 71. Never liked them much. I also have (had) CS basses, and I like them better. They’re more like the original Precisions from the early 50’s. I have one from 53 and these oldies are quite different from a Telecaster bass when it comes to sound and feel. Different circuit, different pick ups and different weight and neck.

Jvdb, this bass has what they are calling 55 cs hand wound pu and I assume the matching circuits. To a non-techie like me, how is that different from those earlier teles—which I thought were supposed to be kind of a reissue of those 50’s p basses. I haven’t had enough time to play the darn thing but I am curious. BTW, the neck on this is not a copy of the 51s which is nice. Something like .82 vs .94 at the first fret and a 12” radius vs 7.5. Thanks!

Hey, what is a stinger stack? And this is my first time with the slab body and I find it very comfortable. Thanks!
It's the hum cancelling PU from Seymour Duncan. All the throaty tone & edgy single coil attack without the annoying hum.
