Played a 70's Fender P bass

Had no idea my buddy had this. He's a guitarist and it was his old mans. His dad bought it when he was 15. Had a good tone and was fun to jam on!

i cant hardly believe "tort" or "flats" hasnt been mentioned yet! come on guys!! i am a thunderbird guy myself but i gotta have a couple Pbasses, and a couple Jazz as well they are just industry standards, IMO......
 
I'm not a P bass guy either and I've never even considered owning a fender, but I do respect that P basses do what they do well. If it wasn't for my Yamaha BB fretless, I might've gone for a vintage (original or re-issue) P bass for that buttery tone on the mellow stuff.

I have a sincere question for all of the non-fender players. Have you ever played Blues Bass; live, for money, in a band?
