My friend just got his made to order custom bass. He choose the woods, the pickup configuration etc.

Its a beautiful 6 string frettles with a piezo bridge.

I have always bought stock basses and I had never thought about ordering a custom made. I guess it is just a personal philosophy. I have changed pups, preamps etc but always on stock basses.

Looking at my friends bass just makes me wonder how many of u guys are into the custom thang?

I am the only one that is not?

well, if i was living in the states and had the money i guess i would have orderd one that would be the most freakey - cool bass i would have thought of, but as for now i just enojy the ones i have all stock ones - and one is modified.

it just sounds more reasonble to order one bass that will have all the things you like in basses, then to get one stock bass and get used to it.
