Really depends on what kind of sound you're going for, I myself have used vintage Dimarzio P-J's in addition to ordering SGD Lutherie pickups in EMG-sized housings.
I am looking for a really growley and grindy tone. For some reason, I can't seem to coax it out of the EMGs, despite everyone else being able to

In with the Spector Godfather! Me, Mom and a very colorful Forte4, the Cadillac Green NS-2JA-R and a work in progress that is going to yield the best, for my needs, feeling neck in my Spector experience. Very excited about this one.
Delano!! DiMarzio, Aguilar. Not neccesarily in that order. The Delanos with the large pole pieces are the shiznit.
I've heard great things about Delanos, but they rarely come up for sale used. I can't find any DiMarzios that would fit my Spector. I guess that leaves me with Aguilar. Luckily, I am about a 15 minute walk from their shop, so (provided they will allow it) I guess I will stop by tomorrow! Maybe while I am there, they can fix the wonkey mid pot on it too.
