I literally just picked up (yesterday) my new Ampeg B-200R combo amp. 
I hadn't had much time to really tweak and analyze it but I will tell you, overall, it's a pretty cool amp. I was looking for something that I could use at home for practice as well as some small gigs. Compared to the B-100R, it has a tube in the preamp and an XLR out which will be good for live gigs. It also has casters which will make transporting a little more convenient.
As I said before, I hadn't had much time to tweak it but I did play thru it briefly when I brought it home. I'm going to fiddle with it more tonight. My first impression was that it was seems very "boomy" and not as punchy. Almost gritty and distortion like when cranked. Maybe that's because of the 15" speaker vs. say 2x10's or 4x10's. Or possibly because this is more of a "vintage" sounding amp.
Does any other owners of the B-200R agree about the sound? Is this the way it should sound. I'd love to get more opinions and reviews on this. How do you other B-200R owners use your settings?
My current big rig is an SVP-CL played thru 4x10's and obviously it's very different sounding. But I love Ampeg and I have heard nothing but good things about the B-100R so I decided to take my chances with the B-200R. Believe it or not, I really don't have much experience with combo amps. I've owned one combo in my life which was an old Peavy TKO 115. Then it was heads and cabs from then on until yesterday.
