Ohms Question

If i run an 8 ohm 600 watt 4x10" cab, then daisy chain it to an 8 ohm 200 watt cab, what would be the overall ohm rating be?

If you daisy chain...that would be effectively parallel and your overall ohm rating would be 4 ohms...

If you series them (would require a little bit of wiring) the overall ohm rating would be 16 ohms...

be careful, however, because if you daisy chain and both are 8 ohms, then the power consumed by each would be the same...hence, your 200 watt cab could only consume 200 watts and then your 600 watt cab would only consume 200 watts as well (without overdriving your 200 watt cab)...
hence your total power to your cabs would be 400 watts...

however, that said...your rig with more speakers may still sound louder because you'll be delivering more power to the air due to increased speaker area...
