Well, everything started one morning while I was at work looking at ebay for a replacement for my Yamaha SA-70 (stolen from my house while I wasn't at home). I saw this picture and thought "I WANT IT!!". Got it for 200 american dollars, nobody else placed a bid for it.

I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but the bass was at England. I had a friend working at London so I bought the bass and sent it to him. Two months later he brought it to me.....it was worse as I spected. The colour was not as it looked at the picture (it was horrible!).
My original idea was just to put frets, a bridge, strings and be happy playing my almost surf green hollowbody bass. The day I gotit I did some pickup's test, both were working.....good......that was all......it was the first day of a long trip.

The neck was straight, but it hasn't freats, machine heads were like garbage and there was two holes and a crack on it.

I polished one of the mic's case but it was all I could do. I sent all the parts to my luthier and friend Horacio Lista. When I returned a couple of months later the body was naked and there was some marks on the body to align it with the neck and the new bridge. The new idea was to paste the neck to the body to get a better sound.

It took a long long long long looooonng time to see any progress because my friend was working on it just part time......bassicaly when he hasn't anything better to do. Months later the neck was pasted to the body, there was paint on it, and the face of the body showed a really nice silver sparkly finish.

When all the work ended, I had spended another 200 dollars on it but I was very happy with the result
When I played it for the first time there was a problem with the mics. The coils and magnets inside the mics were moving totaly free, so I had to work on it with my brother to put the coils and magnets on their place. After that the bass started to sound with good tone and without noices.
