While there's a thread for photos of expensive, old, fabulous, famous, etc. basses around here, I haven't seen one for the average joe bass, so here goes:

Mine: German bass, circa 1900, 7/8 size.

Here's mine! unknown plywood of either chinese or easter European lineage. I carved a new fingerboard and tailpiece as well as did a refinish [the original finish was that nasty pumpkin orange we all love so much.:rollno:

Here's my Peter Chandler bass built in 2000. It's a copy of a Tarr bass. Don't you just love that orange colour. As a student said when I did a bass demo, "It looks like a plastic toy!" Thanks, kid.

I'd post the front but my picture is 7 kb's too big to upload. Grrr.

Right....I had Bob Ross put an extension on mine to achive the same....I didn't want a whole new board.

I've literally just started DB, and after a meer 3 lessons I've been told I can take one home for the summer to practice. This is just whatever one was in the store room at the time - I think it was built in the 60's, and it's fairly craptastic. There's a big crack in the side, and the front and back panels are coming loose near the bottom of the bass, but it's free so I'm not complaining!

I don't think it gets much less antique, old, rare, expensive or wonderful than that!!

For the sake of preserving the thread, heres a pic of my other bass. Its 3/4 hybrid built by Wayne Burak. Since its not my main bass, I'm able to use corellis on it. That and its smaller size make it decent for soloing.
