I recently bought a late -'70's/early '80's MIJ short scale P bass and, although it had flatwounds on it, I'm pretty sure they weren't from these packets. Nonetheless, these envelopes were shipped with it. I had never seen these wax paper envelopes before, so I thought I'd share the pics with you. My bit of research shows these are from the late '60's or early '70's.
The prices scribbled are quite the bargain nowadays!
