IMHO it looks like all the spare parts in the factory thrown into one bass. That and the "big block" bass.

I'm sure it plays and sounds great, but I hate the look of it. Too many switches. Now, if it turned on and off the lights, THAT'D be badass.

Does anyone know the scale length and what all those switches do?

I don't like the switch at the top above the fretboard. Seems like it's get in the way and be easy to hit. And what are the other 2 dark things next to it? More switches?

Yup, those are some more switches

There is just too many switches there, but hey, i think its looks cool anyways. And just so everyone knows, the specs for this one are:

* Body style based on the Fender Jaguar guitar
* Alder body
* Maple neck
* Rosewood fretboard
* Aged pearloid block fretboard inlays
* Switchable active/passive electronics
* Series/parallel switching
* J Bass-style single-coil pickups
* Vintage-style bridge
* Chrome hardware

Seems pretty cool to me, I would just need a tort pickguard on that black one, and it would look mighty purdy to me

I like these. It couldn't be a called Jaguar without all the switches. The top bout switch is the passive/active one I do know. How's about a jazzmaster bass?

i'm not a Jag fan but, thats a nice bass. it looks like a short scale. the two Jazz p-ups, should sound nice. although i wouldn't pay more than $400 or $500, for it. i love matching headstocks. too many switches? yea. but who cares! lol

yeah, there are quite a lot of switches on that sucker.


pretty strange; i wouldn't buy one, but i don't mind looking at it.

Well, it IS a Jaguar bass.
w/o the switches it will just be a Jazz with a different shape.

i saw that on fenderjapan.com, if i had the money i'd definately get it, but i'm dirt poor. go for it, its different than any other fender and has more tonal possibilities in its price-range, is it short scale like the jag guitars?

Scale should be 34" I think, Though I'm not sure. The switches do roughly the following: There are two circuits. In one circuit there is a volume and a tone. In the other there is a volume, a tone, two pickup selection switches and a bass cut switch. Theres a few pots leftover which propably are individual pickup volumes, but I'm not sure.

I'm gonna get one, but make it specifically passive. I'm gonan cut me out a pickguard, and get rid of those horid control panels. I want it to be a J with a smaller body, it's my favorite fender shape, and my favorite fender pickups. Can't wait til GC stocks these babies.
