Cure Neck Dive!!?!!

Well, I ordered a set of Hipshot Ultralites for my Corvette 6 Pro. That didn't do much for the really bad neck dive problem this bass has.

So after I installed the tuners, I was showing my girlfriend "these dam things didn't do much to stop this neck from diving to the ground"

she looks at me and says "baboso (spanish slang for dumba##), why don't you just put your strap through your belt on your pants?"

she perdy much fixed my neck dive problems, big time!!!

i like to play my 6 string with the neck kinda pointed at a 45deg angle, like I do with my Jazz.

man I was so happy last night, she got extra lovins'!!!


has anyone ever put the strap through your belt to keep the neck up? just curious, i have been searching the neck dive issue for quite some time now and I have never read anyone doing this.

i'm perdy smart, most of the time, but my little lady just blows me away with her common sense sometimes it's embarrassing!!

The only problem is you've got to untie yourself everytime you want to take the instrument off. A better solution is to just reposition the rear strap pin. Moving it up just a little will cure just about any dive problem you might experience.

i've tried putting in another buttom. didn't do much for me. it brought the neck twisting up at me. my warwick is very headstock heavy. when i put the five string neck (conversion kit) it doesn't do any of this.

the only drawback is the change over problems on a gig. it's a pain in the arse.
