NEW BASS DAY!!!!(SX Pirate)

One of my buddies recently ordered one, and I ineveitably followed suit. At first, I thought it was potently aimed at 12 year olds, but it looks totally different in person, and the red binding and P cover are MUCH less overpowering than in photos, although the red P pup cover will eventually be kissing the bottom of my garbage toter. The P/J config was awesome and it has very fat tone.:bassist: The Knobs arent bad and I LOVE the grain in the ash body, plus the STRAT-style jack is cool too!! All in all, it's a really cool bass, and it rivals some of the best MIM Fenders I've played. BTW, I'll post pics when it gets here.

How heavy is the body? Are there any pirate markings on the body or just on the neck? Will a regular SX neck fit? I am looking for a body like that for a fretless SX neck I have.

No, the body is of average weight, in my opinion. The pirate graphics are just on the neck. An yes, I'm assuming a standard SX neck would fit, I see no reason for it not fitting.

That was the single most pointless opinion I've ever heard on this forum......

But then again, I usually tend to reserve my attention for members of this forum who have been members for AT LEAST A MONTH....

For those of you that aren't familiar with this internet lingo...

Good day to you all.

I think the best feature is the common sense use of the strat jack. I always liked them. And they fit a jazz body just right. What I don't like about the pirate, besides the red, is the control knobs being a little too cramped for my taste. But a good design overall. Oh, and not caring very much about the hook of the headstock.
