Just wondering what people are up to this summer.

Did anyone hear back from Music Academy? I got waitlisted and am just wondering on my chances of actually going.

I know one guy who got into Music Academy and I'm pretty sure he's going.

I'm still waiting to hear from all the places I tried out for, so I'm not sure yet what I'm gonna be doing.

I just had my NOI audition at NEC. I also sent CDs to Round Top Festival, and Texas Music Festival.

Does Dianna Gannet still teach at Marrowstone? I have a friend from CIM who had a fellowship there a couple years ago and he said it was cool.

Yes she does, I imagine it would be a really great experience.

In the past when I've applied to EMF, I didn't get my results until the beginning of April or end of March.

Diana Gannet is really nice and likes to talk about Yale a lot.

It says this on TMF's website:

Applicants will be notified of acceptance by e-mail only on or before March 26, 2010.

I applied to TMF. My professor recommended it. Seems like a fun/intense festival.

Yeah definitely, I've been lucky enough to work with Diana on a couple occasions, but nothing like that. It would be phenomenal to spend two weeks studying with her.

I just auditioned for NOI at NEC. I know a couple people who've gone there and they said it was really great. The faculty there is really great. And in the past they've had people like Tim Cobb, Ed Barker and Owen Lee. I hope I get in!

I'm a high school student and have applied to Tanglewood institute, Brevard, and Eastern but those application deadlines have already passed. There is time to audition for National High School Music Institute at Northwestern and Sewanee with Sid King.
