I know quite a few, but most I had met through another forum, going back to '03. There are a couple who I first met, that are on TB.

I think I've probably met something like 150-200 in person by now.

I've met exactly one: @Passinwind ! A cool cat who sold me my rehearsal bass, a well-preserved BSX 2000 in good working order at a good price.

Do you ever run into another Talkbasser in real life?

I visited a cool cat that restored a Yamaha BB200 that I gave up on. He was a really interesting, passionate guy with a ton of info on setup, repair, pickups, playing, musicality. He had about 6 other basses that he restored, that were all phenomenal basses.

Afterwards, I found out he was Andy Panda, here on TB.

Yes. I met 3dcurve when I bought his Mesa WD-800 of which I still have nd use to this day.

I've met a couple of shop owners who I know were on TB and I've met JMJ, but otherwise not to my knowledge. I've been on TB for over 20 years and I live in a large city, so this is surprising. I may have met some TB members without making the connection.

I think I've met seven TB-ers in the real world. Four are active, two passed on and one became combative on the forum and was banned from the forum. I'm sure there are a few more that I'm forgetting over the years. I should look into hosting a GTG again. I was looking into it and then COVID hit.
