Make that 2 local TBr's. @Zooberwerx and @walterw. @pyrohr (not sure his acct is still active) is the NYC guy. We hung out twice at an open mic. I lost touch with him. Not sure where he's at. Last I heard he was having some health issues.

So Anyway, many years ago there was a TB get together at a local music store. They even gave us a pretty large room to gather and provided some amps.
It was hard to chat anyone up....so much shredding and slapping going on at concert volume. Since it was so hard to hold a conversation, I didn't stay too long.
I hope the store sold an amp or two.

I've bought and sold several things on TB and have enjoyed sharing the gear journey with the buyer and seller via message and email. Nothing but good vibes, as it should be.
Probably because there wasn't anyone shredding in the background.

I'm not sure how a secret handshake would work with prospective forvmites but it sounds fun. maybe you grab each other by the shoulder and use the off hand like twanging a gutbucket, I'm sure that'd go over great in the coffee shop line.

Yep. He drives a perfectly restored 240Z and plays + sings in a group that ended up being kind of a sibling group to mine, with cross-players. Super nice guy.

I wear a Sadowsky ballcap....one taker in the past 15 years. I received a TB "Got Bass?" T-shirt 20+ years ago with a premium membership...Susan confiscated it upon arrival and never got chance to wear it.
