Peavey Tube Head CHEAP in La Mesa

The GC's near me don't even carry Peavey. Or anything decent really, unless it's something worth $500 that's priced $2000... that seems like a great deal, hard to justify NOT buying it if you have the $.

+1 There were 2 that recently sold on Ebay for in excess of $500 US. One was even "lightly" used. There might even be a buck to be made there for the right person. ;)

I am expecting more deals like this to show up as the economy continues to tank. Dealers are going to want to move their inventory. So far in my parts the economy is still doing ok so we are not seeing these kinds of deals yet.

Ugh, that's enough to make someone who spent 899 recently sick. Jump on these....I just listed a used one in GFS until I heard of this.....I'm definitely keeping it for that money, even though I don't have a real need for it at the moment. These are well worth the 899, much less those giveaway prices.

No kidding. I just pulled the trigger on one Saturday at the regular price through MF. Doh! I then got an email form MF yesterday advertising a special "secret" call-in sale for %15 off on favorite brand items $500-$1000 (I'm assuming that includes Peavey VB2's). Now this. :bawl: I should have waited..........stupid gas. Hope I like this amp alot when I get it.

Kind of makes me glad that the one I bought a couple of months ago didn't work out and I returned it.

Call for a price match, or return it.

Tim,
I called MF and they did indeed do a price match for me. They credited my card back $180 ( and wished me a happy holidy- nice touch!)
I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU for your advice. This helped me alot. Thank you and thanks again.

Pedro, I would be interested in knowing more about your VB2 experience. I do have a 45 day return on the amp if it's not what I want. Own a V4BH that is sweet, just wondering what 225 of tube watts sounds like compared to the 100 Ampeg SLM quality watts I get from the V4BH. I want to do a match-up and post results. I had a 200W tube Marshall Major back in the day and miss that extra power sometimes. I'm hoping the VB2 can bring some of that back and I can be satisfied with my tube amps now for awhile.

Thanks again, Tim ,Pedro, Talkbass.
