I posted a while ago about finally taking the SX plunge and walked you through my little adventure of doing a complete setup and pickup swap. This is the one, just for reference.
Well I guess I'm posting this as a little update on how I still love it and think it's a kickass bass. For the record, I have a skyline 55-01, a parts-constructed jazz bass, and this SX. Guess which one's my main axe? The SX plays and sounds the best to me; I don't care what the price difference is. I did post some clips before, but I figured the ratio of requested sound clips to actual sound clips on TB is a little small. I don't think too many people would object to more sound clips, eh?
So anyway, these first two are run through my BP50 pedal with a bit of distortion and played with a pick. The pickups are Dimarzio model P and model J.
(SX-P is P pickup soloed and SX-PJ is both pickups.)
