It should be awesome, Jai. I have a 34" singlecut with a redwood top, mahogany body, mac. ebony board, and maple neck as well, and I love the sound. Interesting pickup locations as well- any reason behind it?

This pickup config. comes from a 4 string ash vortex a number of people who have been at Guitar shows around the East coast have played. It was originally a single sweetspot pickup, that I had Chris drop a bridge pickup in it. It became this monster of a bass that everytime someone touched couldn't put it down...... J was one of them. So when he ordered his Bass he wanted to get the punch and tight low mid that bass offered with the sweetspot pickup, yet with the bridge pickup you still have the full range and finger tone. This is also found in our triple pickup setup.

Thanks
Brian

Gorgeous! Great bass for a satin finish. The vertical figuring of the redwood is going to be something against the horizontal grain of the ebony. Are the pickups going to have the same direction of figuring as the board?

Can I play it next time I'm in Atlanta? Please?
