I've been holding on to this for awhile but haven't been playing it and it deserves to be. I'm not a hoarder!
Serial number puts it at '97. As many here have testified, Hamer USA built a top quality J-style bass. This is a stunningly beautiful example, the sunburst being a deep, lustrous red that really catches the eye. Has the original (passive) Seymour Duncan Vintage Jazz single coil pickups along with the 2-Tek bridge. These are known for being heavy, but this one is not! Weighs in at around 8.5 lbs. Action is low with no fret buzz, 1-1/2" nut. Very comfortable to play.
Condition overall is very nice. There is a bit of damage to the finish on the rear edge of the headstock at the very tip and near the G tuner (not visible from the front). Also, a small crack at the corner of the neck pocket, which doesn't appear to affect the structural integrity of the instrument in any way. Beyond that, there is some swirling and a few slight dents in the finish when viewed in just the right light, but I'm being picky. To the audience or any casual observer it will look virtually new.
Asking $600 + shipping to lower 48. Add $50 if you want it shipped in a brand new TKL hardcase (black inside & out - cost $115 new). Otherwise, it will come with a Kaces gig bag.
