Little Mark II fan noise question?

Hi I just got LM II last weekend and I am falling in love with it just in second.
I have pair with Epi 210 UL now and it sounds just perfect as I want. Almost no color to bass sound, powerful and clean.
My Epi is 4 ohm 500W so I have enough punch out of my cab.

Anyway, today I just found fan is little loud if I am not playing. Is anybody have same thing happen or is this really matter during gig? I think I will use this soon on the stage so please help me this. :help:

sorry to be a wet blanket here, but fan noise?? on stage???
Yes I have played with loud-fanned-amps but I've never had a mic close enough to it on stage to matter to the FOH mix.
Splitting hairs a bit no? I mean, if we want alot of juice, we've gotta have something cooling things off.

Jin, take it back and get another. I've had mine for months now and have never heard the fan once, not even practicing in my bedroom. Definately bring it back and switch it out. If you have any problems with GC doing that than PM Peter Murray here on talkbass. He'll take care of you. I can assure you that this doesn't happen often and that Markbass takes very good care of their customers.

Well I don't have this Fodera anymore but I am expecting another one. :hyper:
I don't know if I am sensitive or not but I played this morning at my home & I can hear fan is running from when I turn on amp.
After 10-15 min. it sounds little louder than first.
Does your LM's fan is not running all the time or it is quiet even if it is running?

Sorry I somehow missed out on this thread!

Generally people remark on how quiet the fans are... so it's possible there's something wrong with your head. How long have you had it? If it's less than 60 days you could just swap it for a new one... in fact even if it's past 60 days I think they'd probably do that for you.

Is there an update on this story?

Peter, he already brought it back to the Boston store and got an Epifani PS600 somewhere else.

Just got a CMD 121H online from music123 (great deal!) and it looks like I have a noisy fan after reading the posts here. I had a GK1001RB before this and never heard the fan once...can hear this one for sure. Nothing awful, but still there...

Great amp so far! We'll see what music123 says...
