But should the name not maybe drop the 'New' part, now that we're over 1,000 posts?
anyone has a qualified estimate of what I could sell this one for (if I really have to, that is)?

First born male child? Would that be too much?![]()
Hey guys,
finally this thread was "restarted", as I just couldn't get myself to read the entire +1.000 posts...! But now I'll share some pics of my Lakland - it's a serial# 479 fretless, and it's quite different from the newer models in some aspects, specifically the neck, which is the smoothest, I've ever touched, and the sound, which is much more natural and punchy than the newer ones, which sound a bit artificial to me. This one of course has push/pull preamp bypass, and I wouldn't want it any other way! If you want the singing tone, you have to go passive, but active you get more punch from this than what should be possible with a fretless!
I just got a job in Beijing yesterday, so I'll be moving here permanently from Denmark, and then I might need to downsize my collection - anyone has a qualified estimate of what I could sell this one for (if I really have to, that is)?
Here are the pics:

Hang on to it if you can - I'd say $1,700 for a fretless 4-94 is the maximum you could hope for on ebay.
