Anyone using an X2 XDS95 wireless?

The tone is great - nice unit. However, I would strongly recommend the rack unit model vice the other. The receiver battery life is exceptionally short. I've sent my unit in twice for "servicing" and this last time they just told me to deal with it. We're talking 3-4 hours top for the receiver's battery life. If I use Powerbugs, I get 5 hours tops...maybe 5.5.

That's my take on the unit.

The X2 is hands-down the best thing on the market today regardless of price IMHO. I bought one after trying several others and haven't had a single regret. Do a search for x2 wireless and you'll see tons of accolades for this system.

You *will* wanna hook up an AC adapter as mentioned above if you're gonna play for longer than 4-5 hours or just wanna save big $ on batteries. I can get through 2 shows on a single Energizer Titanium but that's it.

Also, if you're into the hi-fi sound then either pick up an insert cable and use the second lead or make your own TRS cable with the leads swapped - this removes the "cable emulation" which rolls off the highs on this unit (to make it sound like a cable). With emulation off, the sound is ridiculously clean and may even drive your guitarist nuts.

What kind of battery life are you getting with the transmitter?

I use an X2, excellent unit and I havent had any technical difficulties since I got it about a year ago. I got the AC adapter with it, so I won't comment on battery life of the receiver.

I use energizers in the transmitters and I can get through a whole night without needing to change. After the gig I usually practice with the X2 at home so the cable doesn't tangle in things. After the battery dies, I just use a regular cable. I pop in new batts before every gig.

Hope this helps!
