Hi, I'm quite new round here so you guys probably dont know me too wel but here's the story of my new Fender 51' Precision Bass Re-Issue...

Well after a bit of a scan on eBay i decided to bite the bullet and bid for one of these beauties. So after a about a month of waiting for it to come and having all my mods added she's finally done and i couldn't be happier with her!

Here she is...

So what do you guys think?

I like the white guard on the b-scotch...nice idea.

Just curious, why did you change the knobs to the flat top style? The flat tops and white guard give it an early Telecaster Bass look.

Yeah i was looking for to re-create the 51' exactly except the white scratch plate it should be black.

Nice mods! I'm curious, too. Was the finish changed in some way, or is it just "the camera?"

I guess its the camera although i didn't realise. Too be honest it isn't that bad of a shade of yellow but i hope it looks nice and vintaged as in the photos.
