This is not an authoritative review; I don't even feel qualified to do that yet. This is the kind of pedal that seems like it takes 5 minutes to get a good sound out of, but may take months to master.
This is a daunting pedal right out of the box; it has 7 knobs, a sync switch, a bypass switch, and 9 jacks on it. Don't panic ... it is easier to use than it looks. This pedal, apart from a few bells and whistles, is basically just the tone-generator out of an old school Moog synth. The main twist is that, with the sync switch set to on, it will track the pitch of your bass, and generate a synth signal in the same pitch. If the sync switch is off, your bass signal will still trigger the tone generator, it just won't track your pitch. The signal is output in two forms: as an audio signal, and as a CV output (labeled Osc Out) on the back panel.
You have a knob to select your waveform, from triangle wave, to sawtooth, to square, to pulse-wave (my favorite).
There is a frequency knob. When sync is off, this determines the pitch of the tone that it outputs. When is on, however, this does something totally different. The pitch of the synth tone will track your bass perfectly. However, based on where the frequency knob is, there will be an added emphasis in the overtones of the signal. If you use an expression pedal to sweep this control, it will sound like you are sweeping through the overtones of your signal, while the fundamental pitch stays constant. VERY cool effect.
There is an envelope follower in this pedal, which as far as I can tell, is always on and working. The data from this envelope follower can be output as a CV through a 1/4" jack on the back. There is also an envelope knob, which controls how much of the envelope data is fed into the output audio signal This has the effect of the envelope follower sweeping the frequency knob.
There is an FM amount knob: this will apply frequency modulation to the signal (i.e. a very rapid sweeping of the frequnecy control, too fast to hear the individual sweeps).
There is a mix knob, which mixes in your dry (sort of) signal to the output synth tone.
There is then an input gain knob and an output level knob. This pedal is NOT true bypass, and it never claimed to be. Even when bypassed, this signal is still affected by the input gain knob, and the envelope data is still collected.
There are jacks on the back to take CV input for the 5 main knobs.

I did not attempt to play any coherent songs, I was just trying to display the different sounds you can get out of this pedal. Also, this was recording by a crappy computer mic, so its not as bassy as I'd like. WARNING, this is a long clip, because there are so damn many options to demo.
