35+ Years Bass Love Story with Happy Ending !!!!! (PICS)

In 1972, I bought my first bass, a Candy Apple Red Fender Jazz....was the love of my life and toured the east coast for 4 years with her. I put a red sticker resembling Coca-Cola on its back to protect it from buckle rash..
Went thru a divorce in 76 and ended up selling this bass in 79. A few years went by and I became determined to track down this bass and tried every avenue to recover her(ads, signs, flyers, phone calls, etc.) ..but to no avail...
Fast forward to the present..years had been kind to me but medical conditions forced me to start thinning my bass family to pay for medical bills.
My ex wife and her husband wanted to do somethimg special for me. They decided to have Brett of Vintagedguitars (TBer Ibenezcollector) resurrect my first bass love. they gathered pics of it in the early 70s(Some are of crazy moments in the past)
The Finished product arrived today, It was deja-vu...the hairs stood up on the back of my neck as I opened the case. It was like I stepped back into the past....The attention to detail was amazing. Brett did nothing short of a fantastic job. It was like she had never left my sight.
I am so blessed to have friends that wanted me to have this happiness. Its hard to describe the feelings that ran thru my body...
But enough soap box...Pics of this Red Resurrected Jazz will follow shortly to share my happiness !!!!
THANKS Kim, Bryan and Brett for bringing a long lost love back to me !!!! :crying:

Doc540 if you read the post his ex-wife and her husband purchased this for Ben to bring something that they knew would lift his spirits and they knew what he went thru to try and find that bass after all those years.

Thanks, I did read the post.

I was asking about medical issues which he's referenced previously.

Just expressing my concern and respect for his privacy.

ha!

love the bass, great story. hope you enjoy playing it as much as first time round. which was quite a lot judging by those shoes ;)
