I even have a cool serial number :D

Anyone from Basschat.co.uk will know the story. Basically, a local chain store are selling Euros at £499 and Rebops at £299. I totally couldn't pass up the deal, so I bought one. :hyper:

The action is a little too on the Bass side and pretty good on the Treble. It looks like it can go lower, but I like medium/high action on basses

(Mods: I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting loads of huge pictures)

Ohhh! Sooo smoothe, beautiful!
Any sound clips? :D

I should be doing some recordings with it this week or the next, we're recording some demos and I need to put some bass parts down.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. I've always wanted a Spector ever since I started playing when I saw Quintin Berry playing a Spector upside down on a NAMM video, and when I saw Arif from Protest the Hero playing one. :D

I'm actually surprised how many pro-bassists play Euros, if they we're playing any other company's basses (ie Fender) I would have expected everyone to get customs or at least USAs, but I see guys on the "Who plays Spector" page using performers and legends!

Nice - Congrats.

I bought my Euro 5XL from the same store chain a couple of months ago, except I paid £599 thinking I'd got a bargain! £499 is stupid! :D

Thank goodness for cetera and the other guys who had that thread on the other forum-I spotted it the other day, emailed the Sheffield store and lo and behold they had two Euro 4 stringers left. I purchased the amber stain one and am eagerly awaiting its arrival to sunny old Belfast. I was bemoaning the fact that I never find any bargains after forking out a fortune for a zebrawood gloss euro a couple of months ago on Thomann and never imagined I would be able to afford a partner for it so soon after

I was in Orlando back in October, and stopped at Bass Central. I tried out many basses, but one of the basses I kept going back to was a Spector Euro LX5 string; similar color as well. I thought the bass balanced very well and the pickups (EMG DCs I believe) sounded fantastic. Loved the neck as well. This one really had me thinking for a while. Congratulations on your great deal on a great bass.
