What do you use to store unused pedals?

They sit in a desk drawer along with the wall warts. If I have the original box (not many), I keep them in that.

I have a few in my closet in their original boxes. Most of those are the ones that are either currently for sale or up next for sale. There are 1 or 2 in there that I am keeping because I will use them 'one day'. I have a few on my desk. Those are the ones that I switch out on my board. Then I have the ones on my board. The goal is to get a bigger board and make a decision about where my 'desk' pedals will end up.

Used Samsonite hard cases.

I use those to transport my boards. (I have 3 regular and one small.)

Since I play bass and guitar equally poorly, I bring a board for each to some jams.

Yeah, I've made dual-use boards, but am happier with separates, and what's one more Samsonite to carry?

I build more pedal boards, so eventually the pedals will get some use. If they don’t, I sell them to buy new pedals.

I still have a few boards built but keep cannibalizing 'em to get that one pedal that I need the sound of.

Reviving this thread. I’m looking for somewhat climate controlled storage boxes to store a pedal collection in a dry garage that gets pretty hot and cold with the seasons. Would this be Igloo Ice Chests? I kinda admire all of you who simply get rid of stuff they aren’t using at the moment but some of this stuff is sentimental, out of production and weird but not particularly valuable, or I’m just not done with it yet and I don’t want buy it again, like my SGFX Electroman 2 and Tech 21 Comptortion. I’m open to suggestions. Preferably legit but otherwise is ok too.
