Hello from Ukraine

My name is Alex and i've just started my bass journey - bought my first gear and now wait for it's arrival to start learning.
I'm 41 year young dude from Lutsk - not that big, but very beautiful town in the North-Western part of the Ukraine, in the heart of Volyn, a land full of swamps and forests, ancient tales and myths, and great people. I prefer blues, rock and metal music in all their varieties and combinations, but also like to listen to some classical, country and jazz/fusion. And also I'm avid reader, bookworm since being a child - mostly prefer sci-fi, some thriller/horror stuff and non-fiction. Fantasy is all but not my thing - aside from Harry Potter series maybe.
So... in a couple of days (I hope so) my gear will arrive and I will start my journey!
