So between working in a 100 degree kitchen (getting my butt handed to me on a silver platter I might add), hauling gear around and rehearsing in an un-air-conditioned house, amongst other things (between the sheets), I really neglected hydrating myself.

Just as I was hitting the sack on Friday night, I started to get really dizzy. I figured I'd sleep it off. Unfortunately I didn't get that great of sleep that night. I tossed and turned in my own perspiration, which is quite uncomfortable.

I got out of bed on Saturday morning feeling basically hungover without that pesky alcohol consumption (hadn't drank any alcohol in the previous 2 days). My head was throbbing so bad. All day I was trying to rehydrate, drinking water, Vitamin Water, and Emergen-c. I couldn't eat anything, because my tummy was all knotted up and nauseated. I was really lethargic; which kind of sucks because if you are asleep you aren't rehydrating. I don't know how many times I went back to bed or fell asleep on the couch. I couldn't even make work or rehearsal. Luckily my boss and bandmates were understanding.

I woke today feeling much, much better. Not quite 100%, but at least I get a cup of coffee this morning.

There is a moral to this, at least for me. I'll be making extra special sure to drink as much water and actually eat something substantial during these August heat waves.

Seriously though that sounds like a b**** to deal with. Glad you got through it... luckly i know when i need to hydrate because part of my body tells me too so i never get any bad heat exastion... and whenever i'm out marching (burning hot houston sun marching for 2 and a half hours a day) i have a giant jug of water that i make sure i clean off. Stay Hydrated everyone its a real pain if you aren't! :bassist:

Supposed to be 105 degrees today, 100 degrees tomorrow.

Maki, You are probably right. A hangover is the alcohol dehydrating you and this felt quite the same.
