I wish I had Pics of my fretless but its at my drummers house

I'm in the process of modifying my white Yamaha BB2005. There are certain colours I think chrome hardware looks a little 'cheap' on so I've bought a silver Yamaha RBX-775 to transplant the bridge units and tuners from. I'll also be adding new knobs and strap buttons to both basses to finish them off before hopefully reselling the RBX-775 on - as a chrome on silver modded bass.

Below are a couple of PhotoShop edits to give an idea...

The BB2005 before:

And after the mods:

Any thoughts or views welcome. I'm planning on putting real photos of the RBX up [before and after] in a thread to sell it.

I really like that mod  :bassist:

Many thanks!

It's somewhat inspired by Nathan Easts white TRB6 with black hardware that he plays on the DVD 'An Evening with Fourplay'. I'm an Ernie Ball fan too and the similar style headstock of the BB2005 won me over - despite loving the TRB series design.

I've always loved the black on white look too. I just wish the fretboard was ebony, then I'd have the perfect bass!

Just a long wait until the RBX-775 arrives then I can start measuring up the knobs as they're now the only thing I need to acquire in order to make all my changes...

I'm certain they will come out as tasteful as the perceived visions in my mind and the images I've PhotoShopped!

Something a little different... I have one of the later Japanese made TRB-6 II models. Lovely!

Dude, I WANT that bass! I'm still looking for a 6-string version of my TRB5II.

I also own this one, but it's unplayable because the truss rod is broken and the neck reacted quite radically to the cold weather of the last two months:

Oh yeah, I used to own this:

Yamaha BB414. I loved it, but I didn't use it so I traded it for one of my current Aguilar DB112s.
I started on this:

Yamaha RBX270. Great bass. At the time I wasn't really thinking (I was young) so I traded it for my current Yamaha BB N5II. I'm gonna buy one someday. Just for nostalgic reasons.
