Looking for campfire type suitable songs

Hello, I'm new here and I hope I'm posting this in the right subforum, if I'm not, I am sorry and admins feel free to move it to the right forum.

Next weekend I'll be at a friend's house and I'll be bringing my electric bass(I don't own an acoustic but my friend will set me up with the electricity to power a small amp) to just play some tunes around a firepit he just got and I'm curious about what would be some good songs to play/where can I find tabs for these songs(guitar pro preferably)?

I have been teaching myself bass for 4/5 months and I am eager to show my friends how I play and they are really eager to hear me play, my original plan was just to play some natural scales slowly but I'd also like to play some songs everyone knows(I play mostly metal, almost none of my friends listen to metal).

Thanks for any help :D.

i would not consider a bass to be a campfire instrument....but if you must play some songs go with violent femmes blister in the sun. the song has a hook that almost everyone knows. uh led zeppelin's dazed and confused is a good one, and its slow for awhile. and uh maybe blink 182's whats my age again. without knowing your musically ability and what kind of music your friends listen to i can offer no more advice. if they're a bunch of crazy rap fanatics then were wasting time. check ultimate-guitar.com for tabs, they sound pretty good

"i would not consider a bass to be a campfire instrument"

Yeah I know, that's what I was thinking but I don't play the guitar and I just want the excuse to doodle and play things in front of people who aren't my family :D. Besides, the host of the party is the one who suggested it.

Cool beans though, thanks for the advice. Though as far as my musical ability goes, I'm a beginner with bass and my friends have eclectic tastes. Some that are going like dance, some like classic rock(the led zeppelin suggestion is probably perfect, I might even try to throw in an AC/DC too), a few like rap but not many(if a majority liked rap, I wouldn't even bother to be honest). I'll look into your suggestions, I appreciate it a lot.

Hi.

"In A Broken Dream" by Python Lee Jackson & Rod Stewart
"Seek And Destroy" by Metallica
"Breaking The Law" by Judas Priest
"Emerald" by Thin Lizzy
"Dancing In The moonlight" by Thin Lizzy
A whole lot of bass oriented tunes from Thin Lizzy actually ;).
"Space Trucking" by Deep Purple

Regards
Sam

just thought of some more covering a good variety:

pantera - walk(metal and only like 3 or 4 notes)
the police - walking on the moon(80s pop)
sublime - pawnshop(reggae)
ben e. king - stand by me(oldies)
booker t and the mgs - green onions(blues i guess)
pretty much all nirvana(grunge)
queen - another one bites the dust(70's rock)
pink floyd - money(rock.......????)
and i also agree with the thin lizzy idea too.
but my brain is tapped of the more recognizable bass lines.
