Markbass 15" cabs opinions

Thinking of getting a stand alone cab to use with my Eden WTX500 amp and am wondering about the difference between the Mark Bass Standard 151HR and the New York 151 cabs.
The cab size on the Standard is bigger so does that equate to a fuller bottom end tone?
I am looking for portability as well as tone.
Love the sound of a good 15" and will probably look at the option of getting a 2nd cab further down the track.
Anyone played these and can give me an opinion?

Just played the 15" portable (shorter) version tonite with a Markbass Little Mark and it was a**kickin'. I noticed the other model. 100 bux more, no more power handling...not sure I get it.

I did not play it, just the short cab.

Aint there a FRONT ported one also??
I recently grabbed the MB 151HR & I LOVE it! Sits in the mix real well. I HAD an Aguilar GS115 before owning this 151HR & altho the Aggie sounded 'BIGGER', it also sounded more 'modern'... The GS115 was a great cab- pity they discontinued it IMO.
Both it and the 151HR I now own - have adjustable horns, but the Aggie could sound snappy & modern & quite 'Hi-fi"(IMO) Whereas the 151HR seems LESS 'hi-fi' & -to me anyway- sounds more old school. Sure the hi's are there if U want 'em & the adjustable horn works well, but it sounds punchy, tight & just right for my needs- + it's half the weight the GS115 was ;) Maybe the Aggie was/is a better cab??? But what is better?? I did LOVE the GS115, but it's size & weight were a hassle for me & the MB 151HR's specs looked good on paper- luckily they tranlated superbly in SOUND to my ears!- as I HAD to buy it from another state- there were NONE in my area to try, & at the $$$ I got it for, well I was lucky!:hyper:
Seriously- I really love this cab- the way it SHINES in a band setting is great for me.

Only tried the Berlin, Traveler, and the 151HR. Thought the 151HR was the best. Can't say I was crazy about any of them. I liked the Berlin at first, but after I tried the 151HR, the Berlin sounded tight and compressed by comparison. The 151HR also sounds a little tight to me, but it's warmer and sounds more full to my ears.

The 151HF is my favorite of the 3 1x15 produced by Markbass. The 151HR would come next and the 151P traveler is OK but not as rich and deep as the other two. Its bass is more limited and compressed.

I do not like the Ampeg 1x15, I think the 151HF and 151HR have much better tone.

I'm Thinking of getting one of the 15" Cabs For an Extension to My CMD121P, But... I Know the New York 121 Would be a perfect fit! Any Thoughts?

As for the 15" Ones... I'm living in Ireland so they are hard to come by! Maybe you guys can help, im Curious about the Price Difference of the New York 151 and the 151HR. The New York has a lower frequency response, Different Tweeter, smaller enclosure and is therefore lighter? Anything I'm Missing Here?
