so, I have a problem with this "salt and pepper" thing...it doesn't work for people with blond hair (or what was once..), so No pepper, but plenty salt (even as it's avoided in the diet) but I get your gist so,
53, have played bass for 40 years and trumpet/electric trumpet for 42 years, have done many things and performed countless times, usually original music, duets, trios, 10 piece bands. I transitioned back to bass again a few years ago after some years touring on trumpet (trumpet is a harsh mistress, but the jobs were there and I'm literate on it).
I am presently teamed up with an old band mate from 88-92 (when I was playing bass mainly) a guitarist (49, all gray) who's recorded and toured bands and solo/ambient looping music...he and I found a very good drummer (50, bald, looks 30 but has tendonitis in his right shoulder ha ha) and we just found the vocalist (51 long gray hair, Berklee vocal and synth grad...a programmer...) who completes the band. We are amazing so far. Actually a catchy economical rock with sophistication, like Stereo Lab meets The Ramones, and we love The Eagles of Death Metal and Steel Pole Bathtub. Our singer actually sings and makes counter melodies. Life is good. We hope to be out gigging by spring. I live in the northeast, that college and music town.
I am thinking of opening up a health practice of low frequency square wave massage with my new distortions and huge amps...a little de-tuning and proximity to the 18" is all it takes.
