....for a really good Buy It Now price.

But I'm not going to snag it. Yeah, I've wanted for a while, but I certainly don't NEED it.

Trying to save money to move to a city with a music scene.

Need to be an adult about this 'cause I really don't need to buy it.

Uh, anyone else? I need reasons not to get it! :bawl:

Seriously, I'm not going to snag it. Just wanted to vent here. One will show up again one day....

Try not to think about the bass.
Click and look at it again.
Try not to think about the bass.
Make sure it's still there.
Try not to think about the bass.
Check bank balance.
Try not to think about the bass.
Wait a day -- if it's still there, it's a sign from the bass gods. :)

I always ask myself if I could DEFINITELY resell it for at least as much as I'm buying it for. If the answer is yes I usually go for it. If I know i can get more by reselling it, then there's no question. I'd rather have the bass than the money, and then if I need the money I can sell the bass and come out ahead anyhow.

Oh yeah... and you should post the link. It'll help us make the decision for you. Even if that means someone here snagging it before you get a chance. At least you'll be out of your misery. :)

Cause if someone here buys it 'cause I posted it it's going make me have a temper tantrum and cry for a while.;)

Funny, 'cause we watched the old Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory last night. I keep hearing Varuca Salt in my head. (I want it, I want it, I want it!)

Why can't you post the link before it sells if you're not going to buy it?

But then when they get GAS for something else maybe it will show up in the classifieds and you could snag it then.

One cannot expect one's TB brothers and sisters to help you not buy a bass.

You know you want to buy it. You know everyone here wants you to buy it.

Give in. It's so much easier that way. What good is living in a shiny new city without a shiny new (or beat up old) bass?

So much for TB brotherhood.

This.

Who knows - maybe some TB member is willing to buy it now and hold onto it for you until you can afford it again, then sell it to you for the same price.

I've done that for some people (albeit, it's usually EMG pickups for people in Australia to save them some serious coinage)...

Okay, here it is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170488630885&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123

It's a black T-40 with a rosewood fretboard. My very first bass is a natural, 1978 T-40. I've always wanted a black/RW 'cause they're rare.

Seeing how last year I bought my "dream" bass (which I'm making the final payment for this month), and I bought a brand new RW P-bass earlier, I think I can breathe easily and let this one go! Someone snag it and give it a good home!
